Tybee Island and Savannah GA

Here is a little relaxing time.  The beach was not really that pretty. but was serene.  When I envision beaches, I look for clear or clearer water and soft sand.  The kids have enjoyed it thus far.

Girls Camp and Baptism

Summer is in full swing yet I do not feel that we have had any rest thus far. While the girls and I were at girls camp, Jake and the boys went to Houston to to get a travel trailer. Girls camp was a pleasant experience to be with my daughters. I watched them show kindness to people and being willing to help others.  A couple days before camp, I had a case of inner ear. Jake and the girls were right there to take care of me but it was a very unpleasant experience. The week following camp, Jake and I had science training in Arlington and the boys had cub scout camp.  I have been constantly proud with my children lately.  The other day, Aubree just hopped up to open the door for an elderly lady.  Then at church, the young women were in the opening exercises of Relief Society, and as they were leaving Ginny noticed that a visitor was sitting with her mom and had not been in youth Sunday school, so she went over and asked her to join them.  After the girls all left, the mother said that had been an answer to her prayers for someone to invite her daughter. On the way home from church, we had a small discussion about heeding our promptings.  Will, our sweet handful, Will takes the time to play and be kind to the under dog.  He is so gentle yet can not control how hyper he gets sometimes.

On June 24, Christopher was baptized.  It was a wonderful day with family and friends.  Aubree and Jake did a wonderful job speaking.  Will sang "Gethsemane" with a couple of their cousins and he has a beautiful voice!  Jake was assigned jury duty the following week but was released on Monday, so we left Tuesday to join his family in Tybee Island.  I was planning to take the kids Wednesday but was happy that he is now able to be here.
