The tender mercies of the Lord

Lately, I have felt overcome by the tender mercies of the Lord and for the safety of my family, love ones, and self. This feeling of gratitude became more apparent a couple weeks ago when a co- worker went missing from work. She has been missing for two weeks but was found this week in a creek near our home. Authorities believe she slid on ice and went into the creek on her way home. She is deceased and they believe she drowned . It would be selfish of me not to acknowledge the Lord's hand in my safety each night coming home and that I come home to three children and a husband all safe and snug in the bed. Yesterday, I was even more overcome with feeling the tender mercy of the Lord. On the way to take the girls to school, Jake was going straight and a car turned and hit him on the driver side and pushed him into another car, so both sides of the car were damaged significantly. The car had to be towed but to the astonishment of everyone involved and the police officer, the injuries were minor. Most damage to the car happened in the rear where the girls sit. They each have knots on their heads and Ginny has an abrasion on her eye but we feel extremely blessed that our girls are okay. Jake has a sore back but feels more guilt than anything that he was involved in accident with the kids. Fortunately, the accident was not his fault but as a parent, I think you still feel guilt when one of your children is harmed or put in harms way.
So lately, I have felt the tender mercies of the Lord more abundant in big ways in my life. I know daily, His tender mercies are here in my life and evident. I know that Heavenly Father knows me and is mindful of me and my lived ones.

Oh my gosh, that's so scary! I'm glad everyone is okay, and hopefully the other insurance will pay out soon for your car to get fixed!

I am so glad that they are okay...I can't imagine how scared Jake must have been for the girls.
