A Memorial Day blessing

Our day started doing a little yard work and preparing to have a family over Jake home teaches for dinner and a swim. At the pool, I reviewed a call from our friend that I needed to meet them at the emergency room for Aubree. She had spent the day with their daughter swimming.  In an attempt to flip off the diving board, she somehow split her ahead at the top. The gash was about 2-2.5 inches and you could see her skull. It looked gross but she was a trooper the whole time. She was given 8 staples in her head and they will be in for 10 days. We woke her up every hour during the night to ask her questions and make sure she was well. That evening was a prayer of thanksgiving that things turned out well for Aubree and for those who sacrifice so much for our freedom. May we always remember those who have made freedom possible and who continue to fight for it today. "Freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction.
